The oceanfront decks that each site has in this row were a great place to sip your morning coffee or evening cocktail while searching for seals and dolphins (both of which we saw from our deck). In the future, I would recommend site 3 (or any others on the water, other than site 15). Additionally, our neighbor’s fire pit was basically right behind our camper, which made for a few awkward evenings of trying to give each other some space where there was really none to be had. However, we were in site 15, which is the last in the row of oceanfront sites, which means there’s a huge fence blocking half of the view of the ocean from the campsite. I had read the reviews and I knew the sites were very close together, so that didn’t really bother us. We had never stayed here before, and we were very excited about the oceanfront site (it’s actually Penobscot Bay). We stayed here for 6 nights on our yearly trip to Maine. If you want to have a nice place to camp and be comfortable while enjoying the ocean, the breeze, and a relaxing vibe. If you want a place to land while you party, this isn't it. They do have a pump out service and currently include one pump out with a week stay, with additional available at fee of around $25. I used the dump station a few times during the stay, and all is good there. WiFi was added this year, and worked well enough for us, and cell service in the area was good. Not crazy big or fancy, but kids were enjoying it constantly. There are lots of dogs here, and I didn't meet one problem dog or owner. There are even boat tour operators around who can accommodate you with a well behaved dog or 2. But your dogs are welcome everywhere here if they are well behaved, as well as many area businesses. As others have mentioned, the dog policy is specific and seems restrictive. We spent many hours exploring the beach and playing in the water. The shower areas were clean, and I had plenty of hot water. I did not use the bathroom at the campground, but did use the shower. It is shady, mostly very quiet, and just feels comfortable. It was honestly hard to even want to go anywhere while here. We had a nice view, and electric/water amenities were in good condition and working well. Called ahead, and that was accommodated just fine. We got tied up in traffic on the road and would be arriving a bit late.
